2013 "IPPY" Awards
I am honored to receive a 2013 National Silver Independent Publishers Book Award ("IPPY) and will be attending the award ceremony in New York City on May 29. I am thrilled that my daughter and son will accompany me to the ceremony to celebrate this wonderful book award! I am very thankful for this tremendous recognition!
2013 Venice Annual Book Fair & Writers Festival
It was a great to participate in the 2013 Annual Venice Book Fair & Writers festival yesterday in gorgeous Venice, Florida. All of the folks with the Book Fair are to be congratulated for their hard work and dedication to the event! The weather was beautiful (typical for Venice, Florida) and the speakers were amazing.
State Senator Nancy Detert (R) and I had a spirited discussion about the current state of our political climate, including the undue influence of campaign money and ideologically oriented for-profit media. The questions from the audience were to the point and our responses were well received. Many, many thanks are owed for inviting me to this fabulous event and I encourage everyone to take a trip to sunny Venice next year for the Third Annual Venice Book Fair & Writers festival!
