Catch me tomorrow night for a breakdown of the presidential debate and if there is a clear winner. Remember all ties go to the incumbent. This is not my view, but those maintained by both political scientists and debate specialists.
Just got home from "up North" where I spent time with Robyn Davis and Joe Newman for The Robyn Report on WWPR1490. Had a great time tonight and we all agreed it was a great show as well. We covered education, tonight's presidential debate, and enjoyed a segment with Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer (Ret.) , Senior Fellow and Director of External Communication with the Center for Advanced Defense Studies. I had the chance to ask Col. Shaffer if the Obama Administration is "leading from behind" with regard to Turkey's confrontation with Syria and Russia. I was pleased to learn from him that America is conducting covert operations in support of the Turks and that we are operating under NATO guidelines. In other words, America is involved in Turkey's confrontation with the Assad regime in Syria. Will Obama state this in tonight's debate or will he remain silent on our role in this touchy diplomatic and military action? Until the debate, these and other questions will remain unanswered. Until then, all we can count on is anticipation.
