As a teacher of Political Science, I am always amazed when I address students about our current political discourse and find they have been for the most part, clueless about our Constitution, the candidates for president or the ideologies of the two major political parties. There a few mechanisms I use to help my students identify where they really stand on ideology and political identity. Just for fun, take a moment at head to The Pew Research Center's News IQ Quiz at www.pewresearch.org/politicalquiz/?src=pp-report. After taking this quiz, consider taking ConstitutionFacts's quiz on your knowledge of the Constitution at www.constitutionfacts.com/us-constitution-kids/us-history-quiz/. When done with these, reflect on whether you have scored high or low on the quiz gauging your knowledge. For real fun, check out www.isidewith.com for a short quiz that is intended to reveal which presidential candidate and party you favor. I have a few others for you, but depending on how well you do on the first two, knowing who you support for president may be self-fulfilling. Check them out!
