Saturday evening I had the chance to view Spike Lee's new film, "The BlackKKlansman." All I can say is that everyone should go see this film. Although a true story set in the early 1970's, the topics covered and experienced at that time have a close connection to the reality we are facing as a nation today. And that is exactly the point Lee makes in this entertaining and yet troubling film. Although I am by no means a movie critic, I can guess that the film will not be a big hit with Trump and his supporters. Which is exactly why everyone else should go see it. You not only will be entertained, but also left with a sense that America is indeed living in a
deja vu moment - and not a great one!
In light of the constant noise from the Trump machine about "Witch Hunts" and "Rigged Investigations", I leave you with a quote from James Allen; "The man who cannot endure to have his errors and shortcomings brought to the surface and made known, but tries to hide them, is unfit to walk the highway of truth." Have a great week!
