The first question was "When are you going to stop writing about politics?" Hmm, considering I have a book out on politics and this blog was created to support that book, I find it difficult to possibly think about writing anything else. When I asked why I should stop writing about politics, the response was that I have been far too harsh on Republicans and many of her friends are Republicans and it isn't "nice!" When I asked whether she hopes her friends have read my blogs she responded, "I hope so." The person asking me this question? My very own mother. Seems she is worried someone that disagrees with my political views might come and "hurt me." Considering I am relatively new to the political punditry game, I have never considered myself important enough to be concerned that someone might want to silence my voice. Obviously, it is something only a mother would concern herself with. Thanks mom for caring and reading every word I write, but no, I have no intention of discontinuing my political postings, even if they offend some folks. Perhaps they need to be offended?
I was asked by someone else if I had ever considered writing a novel. Really, a novel? "Why wouldn't you try your hand at fiction next time?" Since I have written just one book, I took it as a compliment that someone thought so highly of my writing that they thought I would be successful writing a novel. Such a compliment. My response? Honestly, it was not much more than "huh?" I have a few more books planned in my mind for the near future, but none of them would qualify as fiction or as a novel. Maybe someday? Until then, I will continue posting my opinions on political events and hopefully inform as many citizens about how our great system of government really works, despite what some have been led to believe. See you back here Sunday. Have a great weekend, and I promise, it will be politics as usual.
