Israel is being blamed for "oppressing" Palestinian Arabs - so much so that any action by the Arabs can be rationalized and justified as being reasonable, including stabbing and shooting innocent men, women and children. Oh come on Rubin, everyone knows Israel and Jews are the root problem for all of the World's ills. Sure, and everyone knows the Palestinian Arabs are first class citizens everywhere but in Israel. Except, they are not. Refugee camps exist throughout the Arab World wherein Palestinian Arabs are confined because Arab nations don't want them there. So much so that Palestinian Arabs are not allowed to become citizens of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon or Syria. In fact, no Jew is allowed to travel to any Arab nations if they have a passport that features an Israeli entry stamp. Moreover, the violence in Israel between Jews and Arabs is not new. It has been going on for decades, well before Israel was even recognized as a sovereign nation in 1948. Arab pogrom like massacres existed in Israel long before any of the current state of affairs. But you sure couldn't convince the UN (United Nothing) or modern Media of this fact! Arabs massacred Jews in Hebron in 1928 and admit it, yet no one seems to want to recognize this fact (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T64JIgs5C6k).
Yes, there has been violence. Yes, it is horrible. But Jews do not roam Arab streets to murder Arabs. Jews do not stand up and demand every Israeli seek Arab blood and spill it so that it runs in the streets. Israel does not support terrorism around the World targeting Arabs. You can't say the same for Arabs and Iran can you? And the Media? They hold no standard of basic morality for the Arabs. None. They can't seem to be anything but "victims" in the eyes of the Media. Try finding images of Arab mayhem and murder. You will find instead images of Israeli "brutality" against alleged victims. Except nothing is "alleged" when there are on actual video revealing Arabs shooting and stabbing innocents. The Media's response? Bury it and blame Israel. Now don't get me wrong. Not all Arabs and Muslims are murders. So why does the Media portray Israel as an "Apartheid" nation? Collective punishment is bad, except when it comes to using derogatory and untrue labels about Israel.
Where is the Media to admit Arab leadership makes up lies about Israel while openly calling for the spilling of Jewish blood, like it is some sort of "sport?" It goes to the heart of the ideology of the Arabs in the region - that Jewish blood is cheap and has to be spilled in order to be rid of "them." When a Jew is murdered, somehow "they had it coming." And some honest thinking Americans can't seem to reconcile this with the reality Israeli's face everyday. Just look at how they report anything about Israel. It is always portrayed as a death scorecard to somehow paint a picture that Israel is an overbearing war mongering nation. Except, Israel does not export terrorism. Israel does not bomb nations thousands of miles away. And Israel deals with murderous events against its citizens on a daily basis. Why else would they invest Billions of Dollars in building bomb shelters while enduring thousands of missiles fired into its lands from neighboring foes? In America, folks are upset about illegal immigration. Why is it different when Israel defends itself from the illegal shelling of its people? And now we have bands of roving Arabs shooting and stabbing Israelis due to reasons fabricated by the Arab "leaders" and Imams.
Think I am too sensitive? My Liberal friends always point out that Israel "over reacts" and should be held to a higher standard than the Arabs. But a higher standard than America? Higher than any other nation in the World that defends its citizens? To my liberal friends, I cherish my religion, my culture and the lives of everyone. Clearly, that cannot be said of the enemies of Israel and the Anti-Semites. So please spare me such "opinions." Reality renders them silly. And worse yet, Anti-Semitic. My son recently polled many of his friends that defend Arab actions against Israel. When he asked them what a Palestinian State would look like, their typical response is "How should I know, I am not a Palestinian." Yet, if they do not know, what makes them think they should have such strong anti-Israeli opinions? Either they know or they don't. See how easy it is to have been manipulated by the Media into taking stances without even thinking them through?
Despite the claims of the Palestinians, Jerusalem is no where to be found in the Koran. Mohammed rose to heaven in a dream about Jerusalem. He never left Mecca, the Jerusalem of all Islam. But that does not matter because it does not fit the Arab narrative. Before Israel captured the City, Jordan treated the Mosque and Shrine like any other ordinary site. As soon as the Jews conquered Jordan (in a war started by Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq). the Arabs proclaimed the City "holy" to them. Except Islam has Mecca and Medina. The Jews have nothing but Jerusalem and Israel. And to those who dismiss religion, every prayer in Judaism refers to Israel and/or Jerusalem. Yet the Media equate Jerusalem with Mecca. But there is no comparison in the Arab World. It simply has become a symbol of Arab "pride" and twisted by the Media into being the "capitol" of a Palestinian Nation that has never existed. How do I know this? As a "Crank", I've seen this evolution of lies and deceit, and it pains me to watch the manipulation take hold. How is this any different than in Germany when the propaganda machine went into full gear against the Jews? And in contemporary mind-speak, "average" Germans were not all Nazis. Based upon modern evidence though, many continue to believe this notion despite the evidence to the contrary. Yet, folks continue to (or want to) believe lies when it comes to Israel.
Yes, I am biased. Yes, I am attached to Israel. Yes, I have a difficult time suffering hypocrites. Terrorism and murder has touched virtually every family in Israel. How would Americans feel if their loved ones were blown up at a pizza stand? A bridal shower? Riding a bus to school? Riding a bicycle from a candy store? Watching their athletes spit upon in Europe (and worse yet, murdered in cold blood at the Munich Olympics). Netanyahu's own brother was killed at Entebbe (look it up). When my wife and I traveled from Jerusalem to the Airport near Tel Aviv, we engaged in a conversation with our driver. He spoke highly of America. So highly, he said he once wanted to travel here with his family. When we asked him why he hadn't come as planned? He told us his wife left him one day in Jerusalem. Thinking this was sad that his wife left him, he continued...she was slaughtered standing in line for a slice of pizza at a Sbarro restaurant. Blown up by a suicide bomber. When we visited our friends in Israel proper, we noticed the study in their home doubled as a bomb and chemical weapon shelter. So what "mentality" would Americans have if faced with this reality? And actual reality is being twisted daily by the Media (and absorbed lock stock and barrel by many Liberals, Anti-Semites and self-loathing Jews) (see https://www.facebook.com/StandWithUs/videos/10153265256987689/?fref=nf). If you are disappointed I am not commenting on the side-show known as the Democratic Debate, I apologize. I choose instead to reflect on something that is a bit more real and dangerous. So additional apologies to my friends that may be offended by this blog. But my opinion is mine, and I stand behind it and Israel.
As President John F. Kennedy once said; "Israel was not created in order to disappear - Israel will endure and flourish. It is the child of hope and the home of the brave. It can neither be broken by adversity nor demoralized by success. It carries the shield of democracy and it honors the sword of freedom." Stop the Media from perpetuating lies. Stand up for the truth! And stand with the shield of democracy in a place where rulers mislead and manipulate and call for the death of innocents! Try to have a great week!
