Okay folks, it has been quite some time since I have last posted a blog. On top of having to deal with a lingering c-6 Cervical Spine problem, I was also out of the country for 2 1/2 weeks over the holidays and just have returned from a week out of the country with a speaking engagement aboard P & O's mv Arcadia cruise ship. Now don't take this the wrong way. I did not use the excuse of my neck and nerve problems to simply get away and avoid writing. Both trips took me away from my desk yet could not be enjoyed to their fullest due to my current condition. In fact, for each of the four speaking days on the ship, I simply forced myself to get out of bed, make the presentations, bite my lip and greet passengers after each talk only to find myself shortly thereafter on my back in my cabin. As of today, I am feeling a bit better, but not best. I am awaiting further word on an additional C-6 Cervical epidural. Hopefully one more will "do the trick!"
So although there is plenty to deal with in the realm of politics, I am unable to spend a lot of time standing and writing at my desk (I still cannot sit in my desk chair without pain). So keep a close eye on matters coming from Washington (especially from Mueller), as the nation prepares for the full frontal attack by Trump in the form of his State of the Union. How many lies will he tell to the nation in that forum? Will the media call him out or will they accept the fact that our Commander-In-Chief is a pathological liar? Pay attention to the House Oversight Committees as they begin to sharpen their focus on the Trump Administration that their colleagues from across the aisle openly and negligently ignored in an efforts to save themselves and their GOP party. May we all demand politicians begin to put County over Party. Let's hope we begin to see evidence that this notion still exists!
