Mixed messages seem to be forgotten by MAGAs. Instead of arguing their 401K's are so strong and we should overlook the idiocy of Trump, they now have little to nothing to crow about. How's your 401k doing these days? Ironically, most Americans with 401k's don't have enough money in them to live anyway. I mean, say you have $200,000 in your IRA or 401k. How long do you think at 0% interest you can actually LIVE on this money? Say you need $50,000 a year to survive. That would be great if your life expectancy is less than 5 years. Money is not the only gauge to use when evaluating our government leaders. MAGAs can't seem to get beyond that though. With Covid-19, I think our health is the priority. After all, having a ton of money but being sick and dying won't change your scenario much, will it?
And now we learn some Senators with full private knowledge that the virus would tank the markets, got the "leg up" and sold off some of their holdings for Millions! And they wonder why Americans don't trust them? Want to bet the Trump children made a killing selling off shares knowing in advance the markets were about to tank? How does it feel to know the president attacks reporters for simply asking that he provide reassurance to a frightened nation? Can we agree by November that Trump has only playing being president on TV and not a real one and that we need a real one to replace him ASAP? Can you say "hello President Biden?"
For those that refuse to isolate or abide by "social distancing", YOU are the problem. If your candidate did not win in the democratic primaries and you refuse to vote for the eventual nominee, you too are the problem. Let us all remember that America was founded on rugged individualism tempered by a deep sense of community. It's time for us to rally around each other. If only we had a president that appreciated that. Unfortunately, we don't. Try to stay safe and have a great week. In the meantime, I will be holed up in my home until we can get back to any sense of our old "normal."
